“What is your company’s vision? How does this role fit into it?”

- Does their vision align with yours?
- Is this organisation doing (or trying to do) something you like?
- Do you see the part your role would play in this?
“What are your company’s strategic priorities and how have these changed in recent years? Where does this role fit in?”

- Has this organisation got digital transformation at its heart?
- Is it preparing for a digital future?
- Where are they on that journey?
- What part does your role play? Is it part of the long-term plan or a quick fix?
“What is your approach to learning and development?”
Things to think about.
- Will this company prepare you for future roles? This is particularly important in the tech sector.
- Will this company support you in your learning and are they committed to providing opportunities for professional growth?
“How are you managing hybrid teams?”
Things to think about.
- Does the answer include strategies on communication, inclusivity and managing responsibility?
“How is the culture shared with remote or hybrid teams?”
Things to think about.
- How will the company culture be kept alive if you are working remotely or on a hybrid basis?
“What support will I receive whilst working remotely or at home?”
Things to think about.
- Are they clear about what aspects of the role you’ll need to perform on site, and others where you can get access remotely?
- What hardware/software will you get to help you perform your role?
- How will you integrate into the company?
- How will you receive any necessary onboarding?
- If you need to reskill or upskill for the role, how will this be managed?
- How will they include you to stop you from feeling isolated or out of the loop?
