UX Researcher

Using user-centred design techniques to optimise their digital product portfolio, you will work alongside a talented team of UX and UI designers, editors, product owners and developers to deliver an excellent customer experience across through all channels.

We are working with one of the UK’s most recognisable brands, a FTSE 250 listed company, who are currently looking for UX Researcher to join their expanding Digital Experience Team.

Using user-centred design techniques to optimise their digital product portfolio, you will work alongside a talented team of UX and UI designers, editors, product owners and developers to deliver an excellent customer experience across through all channels.

Design and UX research is a key, as is an inquisitive mind and a real appreciation of user needs.   Using qualitative and quantitative research methods including lab studies, remote testing, card sorting, customer feedback and A/B testing you will lead the User Research.

The successful applicant will be a self-starter and comfortable creating storyboards, customer journey flows and wireframes and will understand the importance of information architecture and organising large amounts of data to ensure websites are optimised for usability.

Duties

  • Embedding design research into key digital projects
  • Determining which research methodology is relevant and manage or conduct the research as appropriate
  • Using data and insights from research to power user-centred design
  • Journey mapping, storyboarding and wireframing
  • Information architecture
  • Collaborating with designers, editors, product owners and scrum teams
  • Coaching and mentoring designers and other digital team colleagues to run their own tactical research
  • Presenting designs and explaining rationale to senior stakeholders
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience of creating wireframes, customer journey maps and storyboard
  • Expertise using tools such as AxureRP, Sketch, InVision, Decibel Insight and Userzoo
  • Able to build prototypes to low or high fidelity depending on contex
  • Happy working at conceptual and detailed levels – adjusting techniques and approaches as necessary
