Senior Infrastructure Analyst

We are looking for a customer focussed Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our client’s End User Compute team.

In the role of Senior Infrastructure Analyst, you will provide hands-on expertise, guidance, advice, and support for all things related to Intune & Autopilot.

As part of an impressive and ambitious digital transformation programme, you will use zero-touch deployment capabilities, identify production issues, and implement cloud integrations to meet the needs of our client.

The role.

Reporting to the Platform Manager, you will be the SME of the Azure ecosystem, and be expected to technical deliver all EUC configuration management and services. You will act as the senior technical Analyst in line with all technical IT governance, process, and procedures in keeping with our change control management.

Sitting in the Infrastructure Platforms team, as Senior Infrastructure Analyst you will be expected to perform tasks and duties related to the development, administration, and distribution of applications, builds, and updates using Microsoft Intune and SCCM co-management for Windows 10/Office 365 environment.

Your work will be globally accountable for the design, implementation, and 3rd line support of our client’s edge endpoint devices.

Day to day, your main responsibilities will need you to have

  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft In-tune co-management administration: compliance policies, windows update policies, Endpoint protection (ATP) and device configuration
  • In-depth Knowledge of Scripting proficiency (mainly – Batch Files & Windows PowerShell)
  • Good knowledge of SCCM: Manage Task sequences, OS images, driver packages and boot images
  • Good knowledge of Maintaining Microsoft and other third-party security updates, deployment processes using Intune with Manage Engine
  • Some Knowledge of creating (MSI/MST/MSP) applications/packages using AdminStudio/InstallShield
  • Good Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • Ideally some experience in provide third level support on legal desktop applications (e.g. iManage, InTapp, Metadact, Tessian and Mimecast)
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support and troubleshooting via ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Experience engaging with third party vendors and maintain relationships to support the EUC team
  • Documentation and communication of configuration changes in support of change management processes
  • Own and implement process and technical improvements including process documentation in keeping with internal compliance and IT governance
  • Contribute to the technical definition of the strategic roadmap and continuous improvement towards the digital data strategy
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

About you.

Our client is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst with at least 3+ years’ experience as a Desktop Infrastructure Analyst. You should be proficient in Configuration Management and have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft stack.  You’ll be familiar with project management methodology and design frameworks, such as Waterfall, Agile, Architecture Development Method (TOGAF) etc.

With regard to certifications and academic qualifications, it’s necessary for you to have a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.  It would also be great if you had vendor qualifications related to the technologies or suppliers within the scope of the job, such as Microsoft, ITIL, etc.

Your technical experience should be as strong. You will need a proven record of

  • 2+ years of experience with Intune configuration management
  • 2+ years of experience with Autopilot
  • 2+ years experience scripting in Batch and Windows PowerShell.
  • 2+ years experience of SCCM for remote software distribution, deployment, and push technology
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office 2019, Office 365, Active Directory
  • Strong technical knowledge of enhancing desktop security and configuration management through system registry, file system security, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and the ability to create custom policies.

To support the implementation of changes, the role may need occasional flexibility around working hours. There is also the occasional possibility for international travel to support business needs.
