We have an exciting opportunity for a Release Manager to join a rapidly growing team within an insurance sector disruptor.

Have you coordinated software releases across cross-functional teams? Do you have a deep understanding of cloud technology and DevOps techniques?

The role.

As Release Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and management of software and related projects.

You’ll get the chance to help improve a fully digital, Microsoft Azure cloud-based platform which, unlike those of many insurers, is completely paperless

With a focus on strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines, you’ll work closely with developers, testers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that high quality releases are delivered on time, with minimal disruption to the business.

Day to day, you will be

• Planning and coordinating the release of software and related projects
• Ensuring release activities are carried out in accordance with established processes and policies
• Communicating project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, and requirements between different teams
• Coordinating the release schedule and resources required depending on third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates
• Identifying and managing risks that may delay the release
• Improving the release process

About you.

We are looking for a Release manager with a passion for cloud technology. You will be a stickler for detail and strong organisational skills.

Technically, we would be looking for a Release Manager with skills in the following areas

• Cloud technology, specifically Azure
• DevOps techniques and methodologies
• Agile software delivery
• Microservices and API based architecture
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
• ITIL Change and Release Management
• ITIL Foundation v3 or ITIL4
• C# Programming Language
• Salesforce Experience
• Powershell Scripts
• Java Script
• SQL
• Java
• Ruby for Rails
