UX Service Designer
Location: Central London
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £45k per annum


My client is a top 20 charity with an industry leading commercial team, they have begun recruiting a number of staff to their tech team and now their head of digital is seeking an accomplished UX designer to lead his UX team. The team operate in a product development structure with multiple product teams, the successful candidate will be stepping into a robust and ambitious environment and collaborating with a forward thinking and exceptionally talented team.

The charity offers a number of digital products across web and mobile, many of these are linked to their various services and so service design experience is an essential- if you have worked with users to deliver a functional service that will play very well in this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management and mentorship of a UX team that includes 3 line reports as well as playing a leading part in the overall digital team of 30.
  • UX strategy- user research, testing, design guidelines and cross team working.
  • Exceptional communications to work with multiple product teams, stakeholders, tech staff and senior staff.
  • External agency management.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a versatile UX environment working across UX, UI, discovery/research and wire framing.
  • Strong agile practitioner, daily stand ups, sprints and cross team working.
  • Exceptional user research experience- working with large user groups a bonus.
  • Proven experience as a hands-on manager.
