We are looking for a Head of DevSecOps to support a leading financial services company. If you can support their transition to a more agile organisation, and continue to improve their DevSecOps techniques and practices, we'd love to talk to you.

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps professional to help the IT team transition from partially manual software deployment and release processes, towards full automation to improve the software delivery lifecycle.

You will also care passionately about security and ensuring it is at the forefront at every stage of the development lifecycle.

The role.

As Lead DevSecOps Engineer, you will

• Develop and implement DevOps best practices and processes on Azure Cloud including continuous integration and delivery, automated testing and code deployment
• Own the DevOps development roadmap to ensure the company continually adopts best practices to facilitate its growth and development
• Ensure the security and compliance of Azure-based software products including conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams especially Change and infrastructure management to ensure the successful delivery of Azure-based software products and services
• Manage a small team of DevOps engineers
• Build on the current release management process through the continued establishment of CI/CD pipelines, and adoption of DevOps processes working with external contractors where relevant
• Work closely with the Change team, manage code deployments and releases effectively in line with business objectives.

About you.

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who is experienced in DevSecOps techniques and has an understanding of the creation, execution and governance of CI/CD delivery and deployment.

You will be well versed in cloud technology, especially Azure, allowing our client to maximise the potential of cloud components and scale the business more effectively as it grows.

We are looking for a Lead DevSecOps professional who is open to change and enjoys questioning the existing ways of doing business. You will be eager to create a culture of continuous improvement, embracing continual learning and leveraging new technology solutions to deliver clear business and customer value.

You will need the following skills & experiences:

• Experience in managing a transformation from manual process to fully automated deployment and release management tools leveraging DevOps techniques
• Comprehensive technical expertise in a variety of DevSecOps toolkits especially Git and Ansible, Powershell and Terraform
• Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards
• Familiarity with API Security, Container Security and Azure Cloud Security
• Familiarity with Azure policy, security and security management tools
• Experience in hiring, managing and retaining a team of talented technology professionals
• Knowledge and preferably certification of cloud computing, ideally Azure
• Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
• Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
• Knowledge of the financial services or Insurance industry useful but not essential
